What Are the 5 Human Design Types?

In Human Design there are 5 energy types.

Human Design is a human experiment, it is how you express yourself through your human experiences.

The beauty of Human Design and why I love it so much is that the main premise is that we are all individually unique whose purpose is to figure out and lean into our own unique way of doing things.

As a Human Design Advisor my job is to educate you on the information, it is your job to take what resonates and leave the rest.  Figure out what parts of the information work for you and what parts don´t.

This is such a new concept for us all - doing all aspects of life our own unique way and getting comfortable with doing it our own way.
The purpose of the Energy Type names is simply a filing system so that we can compute the information we are taking in.  It is not a prescriptive description of you, it is simply a system to help you process all of the wisdom contained in the information.

The main premise of the information remains the same.  You are uniquely you in all that you do and the more that you own this and lean into being the you-est you you can be the more magnetic and aligned your life becomes.

The Five Energy Types:

  1. Manifestor

  2. Generator

  3. Manifesting Generator

  4. Projector

  5. Reflector

1. Manifestors - 9% of the population

The creators, here to initiate projects, ideas and concepts. Encouraged to embrace their bigness. They are here to be the cause and not the effect, to lead others to action and not micromanage. Essential that they learn to own their uniqueness. When a manifestor is comfortable with who they are, they are magnetic.  Manifestors must follow their urges and resist the need to explain to everyone why you are following these.  Inform others of your intentions but lose your attachment to their approval of your action and life will get easier.

2. Generators - 33% of the population

The idea realisers, here to build, create and give life to their ideas. Must be encouraged to lean into the things that really excite them and follow through on them. They must allow their excitement to be their guide for where they are meant to be spending and generating energy. Pure life energy here to dance with the world, when they are doing something they love, people around them can´t get enough of their energy. Generators are very reliable people and it is important that they learn they do not have to say yes to everything simply because they can do it.  Knowing how to only say yes to what lights you up is key for a Generator.

3. Manifesting Generators - 37% of the population

The spontaneous, playful people who are here to teach us all that life is not linear and is a game to be enjoyed. The biggest energy generator of all the types. Here to show us that success can be achieved through happiness and play. The agile mover with an ability to master things quickly. They must learn to trust and know that life will make sense one day when they learn to follow and trust their impulses.  Just because you can do it all doesn't mean you have to. What is lighting you up right now - you should probably be doing that.

4. Projectors - 20% of the population

The people with a unique view of the world who are here to show us that by being more efficient and thinking outside the box about things will bring improvement to any situation. Not necessarily to doers but the guides & sages for the rest of us.  Always here to show the rest of us how to do things better. Their energy can be inconsistent so they must trust the flow of life that they will be invited to share their unique view of things when the time is right for them. Here to be recognised for their unique perspective on things.  It is a wonderful gift to have a projector in your life, become obsessed with how they see the world and you will watch them grow in their alignment and magnetism.

5. Reflectors - 1% of the population

These magic people are here to reflect, mirror and reveal to those around them. An extremely rare energy type. They are the true mirrors for society with the greatest potential for wisdom out of all of the types. These people operate like a blank sheet of paper, their wisdom is in understanding that they operate so differently to 99% of the population and that is ok. That is their magic.
