What to Look for in your Human Design Chart?

When looking at your Human Design Chart there are 4 main areas that we look at in the initial review of it.  These are:

  1. Your Energy Type

  2. Your Centres

  3. Your Channels

  4. Your Gates

If you would like to learn more about Human Design or where to find your own chart click here.

Lets look at each of these in more detail.

Your Energy Type

Here we are looking at the type of energy you produce or project through your aura.  We are looking to see if you are a Manifesting Generator, Generator, Manifestor, Projector or Reflector.

If you would like to learn more about each of these energy types click here.

The way you emit, project or reflect your energy through your aura depends on how well you allow this energy flow through your energetic system, which is your body graph.  To assist you with allowing more flow and alignment we would then look at your centres.

Your Centres

These are the 9 centres which are shown on your body graph.  When we look at these centres we are looking to see if they are defined or undefined/open.  These centres are similar to the fuel tank in your vehicle.  If they are defined they are full of your own energy and if they are undefined/open it means they can be filled with the energy of other people as you come into contact with them in various situations.

If you would like to learn more about Definition in Human Design you can do so here.

It is important to be aware where you are open so that you can control your own nervous system when another's energy has entered your centre via their thoughts, emotions, feelings, fears, beliefs. It is important to have strategies in place to process this alternative fuel in a way that they do not clog up our own engines.

Your Channels

After the centres we look at the channels, these are the lines linking all of the centres.  These channels are also called your circuitry and it is through these that we can see how energy flows between your centres and where it may not be able to flow so easily.

Your Gates

After the channels we look at the gates which are defined in your chart.  There are 64 gates in your chart and when they are defined (coloured in) we can see through which gates the energy of the centres flows into the channels connecting the centres.

Think of the undefined gates (the ones not coloured in) as the circuit breakers, stopping the energy from flowing to the next centre and this can highlight where we can feel stuck from time to time.

So there you have it, the four main elements of your chart that you should be aware of.

In family, group, colleague & partnership reading we can prepare what is called a Connection Chart where we can link all parties' charts and explore how the energy is exchanged in the most aligned and expansive way possible for all involved in the partnership.

Each of these elements your Type, Centres, Channels & Gates have a theme and it is through the exploration of these in depth that we can determine your unique approach to processing, projecting and creating energy.

The more you become aware of how to naturally allow this energy to flow through your own circuit the more magnetic you become to your desires.

Clients who have gone through this process of understanding their Human Design and their Gene Keys become skilled in their emotional intelligence & awareness.  They become the masters of regulating their nervous system and life gets a lot more magical and magnetic.
